A raised 68 square metre deck, with a 3.6 metre ramp down to the garden.
The deck was laid in a chevron pattern, in line with the centre of the ramp.We installed uplighters in the deck and two mini flood lights under the front edge to throw a diminishing light into the garden.
The completed framework for a raised irregular shaped deck.
This frame contained just under 500 linear meters (about 1/3 of a mile) of pressure treated timber, and just over 500 meters of hardwood decking.
We fit hardwood facings to any framework that would otherwise be visible.Trellis panels were fitted under the deck to prevent animals and children climbing under the raised deck frame.
We installed 12 volt LED uplights flush into the decking. These lights are made to order and available in a range of lighting colours anf finishes, including stainless steel and brass.
The ramp was installed to allow safe access to the garden for young children.
A sturdy handrail was fixed around the the front of the structure.
Because of drainage underneath the structure, two removable access panels had to be integrated into the deck.
To provide easy removal of the barbecue and lawnmower from the garage we installed a recessed step and ramp combination access.
