Small Playhouse, Surrey

A small tree house built to fit into the corner of a city garden. The tree house with veranda provides an indoor and outdoor play area.

The finished house had to fit between a shed and a bush as well as having a tree through the middle.

The tree was not strong enough to support the weight of the house so we used a cantilevered deck design, which meant we could install suitable legs to support the structure while being able to hide them back out of sight. We also had to leave sufficient space for access to the car port.
